When opening a spreadsheet, Excel opens a blank workbook

Environment

Microsoft Office

Solution or Answer

1) In Excel or Word

2) Click the File tab and select Options from the dropdown menu.

3) Click Advanced, then locate the General section.

4) Uncheck the box next to "Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)"

5) Click OK.
