Agent Catalog Task Locate and Update a Catalog Task

Problem or Question:

I was told that I was assigned a task from another team but can’t find it.

Environment:

ServiceNow

Solution or Answer:

1.  Locate the catalog task in My Groups Work and click the task number.
2.  Click the Assign to me button at the top of the page.
3.  State: In Catalog tasks, the state automatically changes from open to pending when the Assign to me button is clicked.

4.  Notes - Additional comments: Enter comments to the Assigning agent in this section.
      Note: This is not visible to the end user. The additional comments section is where the “Assigning Agent” and the “Assigned to Agent” communicate. Emails between the agents appear in the Catalog TASK Activity section.

5. Click the Update button.
